This option is typically used to align the beginning of the next option on a 32 bit boundary within the IP header.

May be copied, introduced, or deleted on fragmentation, or for any other reason.

Type. 8 bits. Set to 1.

C Class Option

C, Copy flag. 1 bit. Cleared to 0.
The option is not to be copied into all fragments.

Class. 2 bits. Cleared to 0.
This is a control option.

Option. 5 bits. Set to 1.
The IP option number.
